Head To The Beach!

Robe has the perfect family beach, only a five minute walk from Robe Holiday Park, or an even shorter drive. One of the only beaches in South Australia where you can still drive along, find that perfect spot and set up for the day. However, if you want to enjoy the beach without the cars, you can set up between first and second ramp on Long Beach – which is car free. During the summer months, and long weekends our fabulous Surf Life Saving Club will be taking patrols – especially over the Christmas and New Year break, but be sure to keep an eye out for cars, other people and pets while enjoying a day in the sun, sand and surf. Robe’s beaches are also perfect in the winter months, take a walk on Long Beach, or take a walk along the cliff track from the Outlet into town and check out Hooper’s Beach on your way. Robe’s Front Beach is also great for a frolic in the water, especially if the sound of cars is not for you. Robe’s back beaches are perfect for the keen, experienced surfer, however you will need a 4WD to get out there.
Third Ramp is further down Long Beach and is a great spot for intermediate and beginner surfers, during summer Charlie’s Surf School sets up down there – to find out more visit the local Surf shop, Steve’s Place. Long Beach is also perfect for Kite/Wind Surfing, Swimming and BodyBoarding.  Why not get in touch with Robe Kayak Hire for an afternoon in the waves, or down Robe’s river canals.
