Our Robe Caravan Park recommends camping , it’s good for you!

At our Robe Caravan Park we think camping can have a positive impact on the entire family.

Camping is a fantastic activity, providing hours of enjoyment and a welcome opportunity to connect with loved ones, as well as nature.

Did you know that a whole range of wonderful health benefits result from camping? Check out the many reason why camping is good for your health.

Put the iPad away and let children play…in a tent.

Camping helps with problem solving

Sometimes camping and all its activities presents you with challenges (and some of them not even Dr Google can solve). These can be challenges that you don’t deal with on a daily basis such as;

  • where and how to set up a tent
  • or how to deal with situations when you don’t have all your mod-cons or items of familiarity

Camping can also introduce you to new experiences, an activity you’d always wanted to try but never found time for.  It presents new challenges and experiences which keeps your brain healthy, as it forces you to think for yourself.

Camping is great for children’s education

Spending the night in a tent can have clear benefits for children.  This is especially so in our current world where kids are more confident navigating their way around an iPad than they are navigating the inside of a tent.

Camping introduces children to a whole new world and asks of them to think outside the square when it comes to problem solving and challenges – particularly if it’s raining while camping.

When kids are exposed to different types of challenges it keeps their brain healthy and leads to increased learning opportunities.

Camping helps you sleep better

Camping can re-set our biological clocks and help those of us who find it tough to get to sleep and/or wake up in the morning.

It’s all to do with the increased use of artificial light in our daily lives and that camping can help us to adjust to the natural light-dark cycle if we are given that opportunity. Receiving the right amount of sleep can be critical to our overall health and well being. Plus, aren’t family members so much easier to handle when they’re not tired or grumpy?

Camping increases your vitamin D intake

Camping gives you the opportunity to spend more time in the sun (at the right times). Having sun exposure means extra vitamin D, which has loads of benefits for you.  Sun exposure also has benefits for mental health, such as improved moods.  Sunlight exposure can help with bone health.  Direct exposure to the sun should be done in moderation with the appropriate protection to minimise the risk of skin cancer.

Camping leads to increased exercise

Go Camping!

When camping, you will likely explore new surroundings such as walking through a national park or even taking on walking tracks. There are many benefits to increased exercise, such as mental health, improving you mood and energy levels.

Camping makes you happier

Camping goes a long way to improving your mood. More sunlight, more oxygen and increased exercise when you’re camping, the more likely you will be happier. Happy Days!

There are so many great benefits to camping.  Why don’t you booked your next camping trip at our Robe Caravan Park to experience all the benefits while on your next holiday.

  • Hi everybody we have just stayed here for the long weekend and a stay it was! The staff (Filly) and the owners are just fabulous, the sites are lovely and large and so cosy tucked away, but the camp fires are the best, I have never laughed so much and met the loveliest people who are now our friends. My heart has been full of joy! Oh by the way, Olly the golden lab will come and say hello too. Again what a weekend ⭐️💗⭐️💗💗⭐️

  • Thank you both for your friendliness and hospitality that made our stay special

Loved the bush setting especially the shady trees that kept the hot sun off our van we booked in for one night, loved it so much we stayed a week we also at other parks and most of them there was no shade.

    Blessings for the future
