They milk their own small herd of Jersey cows to produce farmhouse cheese, milk and yoghurt. Products are available via their Online Cheese shop, Farmgate and select stores including Robe Foodland.
Robe Dairy does things differently. Its calves are not euthanised or sent for veal and are instead reared on their farm. Female Jersey calves are raised to join the milking herd, while they grow the Jersey bull calves to at least yearling age. When they use an Angus bull, they sell the offspring through the markets as beef animals.
Other animals on the farm include a few free-range pigs which they feed dairy waste to.
You can go to the farm and buy direct from their little farmgate shop. The address is 346 Nora Creina Road. Look for the red milk can or visit www.robedairy.com
